Protecting Honeybees. Equipping Beekeepers. Honoring God's Creation.

Beekeepers for Christ was established to promote safer, more humane beekeeping practices in Africa through education, awareness, and financial support.

Honeybees are an important part of God's creation.

They provide honey, support pollination, and contribute to the well-being of communities and the environment.

The problem

In some communities, traditional honey harvesting methods involve the use of open flames that can harm honeybees, damage their hives, and put beekeepers at risk.

We believe modern beekeeping offers a better approach.

The better way

By helping provide protective bee suits, smokers, and appropriate equipment, we can support beekeepers in harvesting honey more safely while preserving healthy colonies.

Protective bee suits
A suit, veil, and gloves let a beekeeper open a hive calmly, without fear of stings, so there is no need to drive the bees out with fire.
Smokers
A hand-held smoker puffs cool smoke that keeps the colony calm during the harvest, without burning the bees or the hive.
Top-bar hives
A properly built top-bar hive lets honey be lifted out one comb at a time instead of cut and burned out, so the colony survives the harvest and keeps producing.

Give beekeepers a better way.

Through our fundraising efforts for Here's Life, we hope to help more African communities access these tools and the education needed to use them.
